Inventory KPIs, Stockouts and Stock history

The three report tabs — Inventory KPIs, Stockouts and Stock history — show how your stock and sales performed, so you can spot slow stock, lost sales and trends.

They are part of the Growth and Pro plans. On Starter, each tab shows what it includes and a Change plan button. See Plans and billing.

These reports always cover the whole store. The Plan for location switch does not change them.

Inventory KPIs

A table of sales, stock and replenishment figures for any period, by product or group.

  1. Choose View by: Variants, Products, Brands or Collections.
  2. Set the period with From and to, or pick one from Quick period…: Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, This month, Last month, Last 12 months.
  3. Choose which sales count: All sales, Shopify (no FBA) or Amazon FBA.
  4. Tick Exclude wholesale to leave wholesale orders out of Sales, Revenue, COGS and Profit (the Wholesale columns still show them).

Default columns are Name, Overstocked cost, COGS, On order, Replenishment cost, To order cost and Sales. Press ⚙ Columns to add more. They are grouped as:

Group Examples
Attribute Vendors, Brand, Collections
Status ABC class, Replenishable, Visible (status), Tracked inventory
Identifier Title, SKU, Barcode, Vendor reference, Shopify IDs
Inventory Stock, Stock cost, Stock retail, Opening and Closing stock, AVG stock, Stockouts, In-stock %, Price, Cost price, Profit/unit, Age
On order On order, On order cost and retail, Expected date, AVG lead time, Last received at, Received qty
Sales Sales and Revenue for the period and for fixed windows (7 to 365 days), Lifetime sales and revenue, First 7–90 days sales, Profit, Margin, Markup, GMROI, Discounts, Wholesale units and revenue, Past lost sales
Replenishment Lead time, Days of stock, Forecast, Forecast revenue, cost and profit, Forecast lost sales, Replenishment, To order

In the picker, search columns, drag them into order, and save a set as a preset with a name to reuse later. You can also drag a column heading in the table to move it. In Brands, Products and Collections views, N variants / N products opens the next level down.

Stockouts

What stock-outs cost you: lost units, revenue and profit while products were out of stock.

Settings at the top:

  • Shopify sales / Amazon FBA sales / Total — which sales define demand.
  • From — the period.
  • View by — Products or Brands.
  • Count lost sales for — first 30, 60 or 90 days of a stock-out, or the whole stock-out. After a long stock-out, past sales are no longer good evidence of demand (the product may have been dropped), so by default only the first part counts.
  • Exclude wholesale — wholesale orders do not count as demand.
  • Include not replenished / draft — off by default: a product you stopped buying is out of stock on purpose.
  • Show ignored — show only the products you ignored, so you can restore them.

Tiles show Lost revenue (at the prices customers paid), Lost profit (price paid − Shopify cost), Lost units (and their share of demand), Products with stock-outs and Out of stock now (products that sell). Lost revenue by month — last 12 months shows the trend for every product.

Main columns: Product, Brand, ABC class, Out of stock now, Out since, Days out of stock, Days counted as lost, In-stock %, Units/day in stock, Units sold, Lost units, Lost revenue, Lost profit, Lost % of demand, On order and PO expected.

In the Products view, tick products and ignore them (for example discontinued ones) to leave them out of the report and its totals.

Stock history

Opening and closing stock, month by month.

  1. Choose View by: Variants, Products, Vendors, Brands, Collections, ABC class or Total.
  2. Set From and to months, or press 12 months or 24 months.
  3. Under Show, tick Units, Cost and/or Retail (RRP), and Opening and/or Closing.
  4. Narrow with the vendor, brand, collection, ABC class and status filters, the search box, or Hide rows with no stock in the period.

The last column is Current stock. In grouped views, N variants / N products shows those items month by month; ‹ Back to … returns. Press Export CSV to download the table.

Stock history starts when Stockpace first read your stock. If you imported from Inventory Planner, its daily stock history fills in the months before that. See Importing data.
