Settings
The Settings tab holds the store-wide defaults that every vendor and product uses unless it has its own value.
Most settings are saved together with Save settings at the bottom of the page; the bar shows Unsaved changes until you do. The Xero and Supplier documents cards save their own changes.
Which setting wins
For lead time, days of stock and the other forecast settings:
- a product's own setting (Replenishment → product panel) wins;
- then the vendor's setting (Vendors, or Forecast settings on one of its draft POs);
- then Settings.
Point at the i next to any setting to see this reminder and what the setting does.
Plan
Your plan and price, how many supplier documents have been read this month out of your allowance, and what each plan includes. Change plan opens Shopify's plan page. See Plans and billing.
Forecast
How the sales rate and order quantities are worked out.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Method | Recent average + trend uses your recent sales. Seasonal (same months last year) follows last year's pattern for each month — good for strongly seasonal products. Seasonal needs two years of sales; otherwise the average is used |
| Sales window | How many days of past sales the sales rate is taken from. A short window reacts quickly to recent changes; a long one is steadier |
| Lead time | Days from placing an order to stock on the shelf. A longer lead time means bigger orders and an earlier order-by date. Also sets a new PO's expected date |
| Days of stock | How many days of sales each order should cover after it arrives. More days = fewer, larger orders and more cash in stock |
| Safety days | Extra days of cover on top of days of stock, as a buffer for late deliveries or sudden spikes |
| Max trend | The most a rising trend may raise the forecast. 1 = a rising trend never raises it (falls still count). Lower it for brands whose spikes do not last |
| Nov / Dec uplift from | Where the November / December uplift is based: Store sales last Nov/Dec or Each brand's own sales last Nov/Dec. A brand can also have a fixed factor in its PO's Forecast settings |
| Big order cap | The most units of a product one order can count in the sales history. Stops a one-off big buyer inflating demand. Empty = off |
| Max cover | A safety net: stock after a delivery may never cover more than this many days of sales. Cuts the order when a spike or a wrong setting would over-order. Empty = off. Keep it above days of stock + safety days |
Switches:
- Apply the recent trend — raises or lowers the rate when sales are clearly growing or falling. Average method only.
- Leave out-of-stock days out — days with no stock do not make a product look slow. Off = every day counts, and products often out of stock are under-ordered.
- November / December uplift — raises the forecast for November and December days by how much sales rose last year. Average method only; matters for orders placed from about September.

Purchase orders
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Next PO number | The number the next new PO gets. Numbers never repeat; a new PO closed without saving gives its number back. After an Inventory Planner import it continues that numbering. Shown for information |
| CC on every PO email | Addresses copied on every PO email to every supplier. Vendors can add their own CC |
| Logo on the PDF | A link to your logo (PNG or JPEG), for example from Shopify → Content → Files. Printed at the top of every PO PDF |
Sending PO emails from Stockpace is coming next. Until then, download the PDF or CSV on the PO, email it yourself and press Mark as sent.
Xero
Connect your Xero organisation and choose the accounts and branding theme Stockpace uses. Growth plan and above. See Supplier bills and Xero.
Supplier documents
Your mailbox, forwarding address, Dropbox folder, uploads, email domains, the Not recognised list and supplier rules. See Supplier documents.
Stock
Tick the Shopify locations whose stock counts. Ticked locations count as one stock unless you plan for one location. Leave out stock held by a marketplace (for example Amazon FBA). The card also shows when settings were last saved and by whom. See Sales channels and locations.
